Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You get a link to send customers and a copy-paste embed snippet for your site. If you can paste text, you can use Plaudence. The wall also works as a standalone page if you have nowhere to embed it.

How do testimonials get onto my wall?

Every submission lands in your private inbox first. Nothing goes public until you click "Publish to wall" — so spam or off-brand entries never touch your site.

What happens when I pass 10 testimonials on the free plan?

Nothing breaks. Your wall keeps showing the 10 most recent published testimonials, and the rest are safely stored. Upgrade to Pro any time to display them all.

Can I cancel Pro whenever I want?

Yes — self-serve, from Settings → Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then drop back to free. Your testimonials are never deleted.

Can I import testimonials I already have?

Not automatically yet. The honest workaround: send your collection link to those customers and ask them to resubmit — it takes them under a minute, and it keeps your wall genuinely consent-based, which matters for FTC and GDPR compliance.

Is this GDPR/FTC friendly?

Yes by design: customers submit their own words with an explicit consent checkbox, fonts and scripts are self-hosted (no third-party trackers on your wall), and demo content is always labeled as such. Testimonials confirmed by their author via a one-time email link carry a ✓ Verified badge — and published testimonials can never be edited by the wall owner.

Where is my data stored?

In a managed Postgres database (Supabase). You can delete any testimonial — or your whole space — at any time, and deletion is permanent.
