Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Plaudence, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Plaudence is

Plaudence lets you collect testimonials from your customers through a shareable link, and display them publicly on a hosted Wall of Love and an embeddable widget you can place on your own site.

Your account

You sign in with an email magic link or a passkey — there's no password to remember. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping access to your email and passkey secure. Let us know at contact@plaudence.com if you think someone else has access.

Plans and billing

• Free — you can collect and display testimonials, with a limit on how many are shown at once and a small Plaudence badge on your wall.
• Pro — $9.90/month, billed through Stripe. It removes the display limit and the badge and unlocks theming.
• You can cancel anytime. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Downgrading does not delete any of your data — your testimonials stay; some may just stop being displayed under Free-plan limits.
• We don't give refunds for partial billing periods unless the law where you live requires it.

Your content and responsibilities

You own and are responsible for the testimonials you publish. By using Plaudence you confirm that they are genuine, come from real customers, were given with the submitter's consent, and comply with applicable law — including consumer-protection rules on endorsements and reviews (such as the FTC's rules in the US). Don't publish fake, paid-for-but-undisclosed, or misleading testimonials.

We may remove content or suspend an account if we have reason to believe it's fake, deceptive, unlawful, or abusive.

If you submit a testimonial

When you submit a testimonial through a business's collection link, you grant that business and Plaudence the right to display it publicly on their wall and embedded widget. You can ask for it to be removed at any time — the process is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Don't use Plaudence to publish unlawful content, send spam, impersonate others, or attempt to breach, overload, or interfere with the service or the accounts of others.

Availability and changes

Plaudence is provided "as is". We don't guarantee any particular uptime, especially on the Free plan, and features may change, improve, or be removed over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll announce them on the site or by email.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@plaudence.com. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and any disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless the law protecting you as a consumer says otherwise.
