What Plaudence does
Plaudence lets businesses collect testimonials from their customers and display them publicly. Depending on who you are, we process different data.
If you have a Plaudence account
- Email address — used to sign you in (magic links) and to operate your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Payment data — subscriptions are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy.
If you submit a testimonial
- We store the name, role/company, rating, and text you provide, with a timestamp.
- Your testimonial is submitted for the purpose of public display on the collecting business's website and wall, based on your explicit consent given at submission.
- You may withdraw consent and request removal at any time by contacting the business you wrote it for, or us at [EMAIL]. Deletion is permanent.
Where data lives
Data is stored with our hosting and database providers (Netlify and Supabase) and payments with Stripe, under data processing agreements. We do not sell personal data, run ads, or use analytics or tracking cookies. The only storage in your browser is the session token needed to keep account holders signed in.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your data, and you may complain to your local data protection authority (in Norway, Datatilsynet). Contact [EMAIL] to exercise any of these; we respond within 30 days.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request. Testimonials are kept until deleted by the collecting business or upon a valid removal request.
